An endoscopic brow lift is a simple facial procedure that is used to correct the position of your eyebrows. This, in turn, helps to reduce forehead wrinkles, elevate your eyebrows and eliminate excess skin, which can cause hooding on your upper eyelids. Ageing is a prime culprit here in producing a tired and heavy look, however, this treatment can give a refreshed and youthful look, softening deep frown lines.

As well as creating a more energetic appearance, this minimally invasive operation can improve the position and shape of your eyebrows, having a huge impact on the appearance of your facial features.

What does the procedure involve?

Usually taking between one to two hours, the surgery is performed via five small incisions that are usually concealed within your hairline. The operation is done using an endoscope, also known as a surgical telescope – this allows your surgeon to have a clear view of the muscles and tissues underneath your skin. Using another instrument, your skin will then be lifted to an optimal position (sometimes muscle will be removed or altered too).

What should I expect during recovery?

Because endoscopic treatments utilise smaller incisions, you may find that you experience less of the traditional symptoms of this procedure, for example, an itching sensation and temporary scalp numbness. Due to the nature of this operation, you may also be ready to return to your normal routine quicker too as well as have less visible scarring.

Can an endoscopic brow lift be used in conjunction with other procedures?

Although you can have an endoscopic brow lift just by itself, it is more frequently combined with various facelift techniques, as well as upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery. These treatments all work harmoniously to produce a revitalised face and neck area.
